Leading mobile application developer Golden Gekko and global mobile content aggregator Lechill announced today their joint takeover of GeoMe Communications, a key innovator in location-aware application development and Innovation Zone Exhibitor at both the Mobile Asia Congress in 2009 and Mobile World Congress in February 2010.
“Since 2008, GeoMe has been developing cutting-edge mobile solutions to embed location on smartphone devices”, commented Magnus Jern, Golden Gekko CEO. “This acquisition will allow us to add their mobile technology to our existing range of Mobile Directory Applications and further secure our market leadership in this area”, he added.
Jonas Borgh, Lechill CEO, stated “Lechill offers a wide range of mobile content and applications to over 30 mobile operators worldwide. The GeoMe-branded application fits perfectly in our product portfolio and meets our growing demand for location-based applications worldwide”.
